Regarding compatibility, this update installs the LAN driver for the Ethernet Controllers found in the following Next Unit of Computing kits: D34010WYK, D54250WYK, DC3217IYE, DC53427HYE and DCCP847DYE. This said, Intel does mention that not all Intel Ethernet adapters and controllers are supported under every version of Windows. The newly released driver exists in both 32 and 64 bit versions for Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1. The new driver update adds support for two of the most commonly used Ethernet Connection Chipsets, the I218-LM and I218-V.
